Hello everyone!

My name is Parmis, and I am thrilled to be apart of EDCI 335 at UVic this term. Im currently majoring in psychology, which has given me valuable insights into human behaviour and development–an area that deeply connects to my passion for working with children and understanding the ways we learn.

Originally, I’m from Dubai, however, moving to Canada 7 years ago, has shaped much of who I am today. Adapting to a new culture and education system has been an eye-opening experience, giving me a broader perspective on the significance of diverse learning environments.

I’ve been fortunate to work closely with children the past 3 years in different teaching/caretaking roles. I’ve seen firsthand the transformative power of education and the importance in creating a supportive environment where kids can thrive.

My interest in EDCI 335 stems from my desire to integrate my psychology background with practical educational approaches. Im excited to learn more about the strategies for effective teaching and learning.

I’m looking forward to connecting with all of you, sharing perspectives, and learning together throughout this course!
